What struck me right away was how they’ve managed to pack everything you need into a one-bedroom layout without it feeling cramped or overstuffed.

Prime Location on Northbourne Avenue

The location on Northbourne Avenue is actually pretty brilliant if you know Canberra at all. You’re right in the thick of things — close enough to walk to the city center but far enough from the tourist crowds that you feel like you’re living like a local. I mean, you can easily get to Parliament House or the Australian War Memorial, but you’re also near some great cafes that most visitors never discover. The parking situation is a huge win here too — free private spots on site, which anyone who’s tried to park in central Canberra will tell you is worth its weight in gold.

The Living Space

The apartment itself is laid out really smartly. The room has proper blackout curtains (thank goodness), and there’s enough storage that you can actually unpack your suitcase instead of living out of it for your entire stay. The kitchen is fully equipped — not just the bare minimum you sometimes get in these places, but actual cookware and appliances that work properly. I actually ended up cooking a few meals here because it felt so natural, plus there’s a decent grocery store just a short walk away.

Practical Comforts

What really sets this place apart is how they’ve thought about the little things that matter when you’re staying somewhere for more than just a night or two. The Wi-Fi is fast and reliable (crucial if you’re working remotely), the air conditioning actually keeps the place comfortable during Canberra’s surprisingly hot summers, and there’s a proper workspace if you need to get things done. The bathroom has good water pressure and stays warm — you know, those basic things that can make or break a stay but that you don’t always think about until they’re not working.

Honestly, this place works so well because it strikes that perfect balance between hotel convenience and apartment independence. You get the space and freedom to do your own thing, but without having to worry about maintenance or setup. Couples seem to particularly love it here — there’s something about having your own little urban retreat that just works for romantic getaways or even longer stays.   It was close to restaurants in Lonsdale Ave and close to Westfield shopping. Nice owner to deal with.
  
  What could be improved: It felt unsafe being on the first floor. The noise in and around the building was out of this world with screaming, yelling, revving cars, techno music until at least 2am. Lots of undesirables around the area.
  No warm blankets for Canberra winter.
  No proper fold out lounge bed for kids, just mattress on floor.

  What could be improved: this unit is located on level one and is directly above the MacDonalds drive thru and store entrance and opposite 7 Eleven, it was noisy all night with customers coming and going which made for a bad nights sleep

  This apartment was well located within the CBD. It was well stocked and had most things you would need.
  
  What could be improved: Unfortunately it is over the 24 hour Maccas and being on level 1 was a bit noisy during the night. Also the bed was uncomfortable and the curtains need attention.
