2 Bedroom Apartment Eco Living at Nishi Canberra Overview
First Impressions
When I first walked into 2 Bedroom Apartment Eco Living at Nishi Canberra, I honestly wasn’t expecting much from what sounded like a corporate-named property. But you know what? This four-star place completely changed my mind about apartment-style accommodations. The building itself is this striking architectural statement on Edinburgh Avenue — you can’t miss it — and the 11th floor location means you’re getting some seriously impressive views of Canberra that most hotels in the area just can’t match.
The Space That Surprises
The apartment layout is actually brilliant for couples or small groups who want more than just a cramped hotel room. I mean, having two separate bedrooms changes everything when you’re traveling with friends or family. The eco-living concept isn’t just marketing speak either — they’ve integrated sustainable features throughout without making it feel like you’re roughing it. The kitchen is fully equipped, which saved me a fortune on dining out, and honestly, cooking breakfast while looking out over the city became one of my favorite parts of the stay.
Location That Actually Works
Here’s the thing about this spot on Edinburgh Avenue — it’s positioned perfectly for exploring Canberra without dealing with the tourist crowds. You’re close enough to walk to the main attractions, but far enough away that you feel like you’re experiencing the real city. The parking situation is a game-changer too, especially since finding a spot in central Canberra can be absolutely brutal during peak times. Having that private parking on-site meant I could actually explore the surrounding areas without stress.
The Details That Matter
What really impressed me was how thoughtfully everything was designed. The views from the 11th floor are genuinely spectacular — you get this panoramic sweep of the city that changes throughout the day. The eco-friendly features aren’t intrusive; they’re just seamlessly integrated into a space that feels modern and comfortable. The restaurant options nearby are solid too, though with that full kitchen, you might find yourself cooking more than you planned. The whole setup just works for longer stays or when you want that home-away-from-home feeling.
Why Guests Love It
I can see why couples rate this place so highly — there’s something romantic about having your own private space high above the city, especially when you can cook dinner together and watch the sunset. The combination of prime location, genuine sustainability features, and apartment-style comfort creates this perfect middle ground between hotel convenience and residential living. It’s the kind of place where you actually want to spend time in your accommodation, not just crash there between sightseeing. For the price point and the experience you get, it’s honestly one of the better finds in Canberra’s accommodation scene.
Canberra hotels keep policy makers steps from Parliament House tours, galleries, and lakeside cycling paths.

Reviews of 2 Bedroom Apartment Eco Living at Nishi Canberra
Very good – Duncan from Australia – 5 July 2025 (8/10)
Wry up to date
Great location – perfect place for people who don't like windows or fresh air. – Castle from Australia – 5 December 2024 (7/10)
The apartment is in a great location and the bar and restaurant in the building are great.
What could be improved: No windows or air-conditioning in the flat – it was very stuffy and dark. All the rooms are internal, it is very odd. I wouldn't stay here in summer.Very over priced and uncomfortable – Gillian from United Arab Emirates – 10 October 2024 (4/10)
What could be improved: Sliding door to ensuite didn’t close, window to outside walkway didn’t close, television had no free to air or available streaming you had to sign in with your own account details, loose floor tiles, rooms very small, no air conditioning,
Very good – Jane from Australia – 14 August 2024 (8/10)
Location, view, kitchen, bathrooms, comfortable bed, spacious., big TV.
What could be improved: Quirky layout, it could be a little noisy with 2 of us staying.Superb – Ben from Australia – 7 July 2024 (9/10)
We were late, having driven 5 hours, so missed out arranged time to pickup keys. The host made other arrangements & was very helpful. Thank goodness & much appreciated. The apartment floorplan is quite unusual. The location is fantastic! Parking downstairs a major bonus. The view is amazing.
What could be improved: The lounge furniture wasn't to our taste & we didn't find great comfort there, but we were out a lot so it wasn't a big deal. So good having the kitchen. We were unsure about the drinking water; there was half a portable water container to use. TV is great. We would def love to stay again. Thankyou.
