I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to Belconten Way Hotel & Serviced Apartments, I wasn’t expecting much. The name sounds pretty corporate, you know? But this place actually surprised me in the best way possible. It’s got that hybrid setup where you can choose between regular hotel rooms or proper serviced apartments, which is brilliant if you’re doing anything longer than a quick overnight stay. The apartment side really shines here – I mean, having a full kitchen and separate living space changes everything when you’re traveling for work or with family.

What I love about this spot is how it sits right in the heart of Belconnen, which honestly gets overlooked by a lot of visitors who just stick to the city center. You’re literally walking distance from Westfield Belconnen (perfect for grabbing groceries or whatever you forgot to pack), and the lake is just a short stroll away. The staff here actually knows the area too – not just the touristy stuff, but where locals grab coffee and which walking trails are worth your time. I stayed in one of the serviced apartments for a week, and the housekeeping team was spot-on about when to pop by without being intrusive.

The rooms themselves are clean and functional without trying too hard to be trendy. You get decent-sized windows, reliable wifi (crucial for me), and the beds are actually comfortable – not those rock-hard hotel mattresses that leave you sore. Parking‘s included, which saves you from the headache of figuring out Canberra’s parking situation. I will say the walls aren’t super thick, so if you’re a light sleeper, maybe pack earplugs just in case. The breakfast isn’t fancy, but it’s solid and gets you going in the morning. What really sold me though was how easy everything was – checking in, getting local recommendations, even extending my stay when my plans changed. Sometimes you just want a place that works without any drama, and that’s exactly what this is.

  Room was very comfortable and met our needs. It was nice and warm for a winter night. Free onsite parking was a big plus compared to inner Canberra alternatives.

  The location, the room was spacious and comfortable.
  
  What could be improved: Only missing item was a microwave, for a family with a kid i think that could be an useful item. But it doesn't mean that the place was good enough and value for money. Ample hot food location's are available with close proximity. Woolworth and kfc is just within 100 metres jut a matter of one stairs. 😀

  What could be improved: The shower water flowed into the batchroom – there is no lip to stop the floor flooding – had to use towel to stop it coming out of shower. The tiles are flat so no dipping point to permit water to drain properly.
