It felt authentic to Canberra’s chill scene – you know, that mix of government town meets trendy suburb, where Braddon’s got all these hidden gems like breweries and street art popping up. I mean, I wandered out one evening and ended up at Bentspoke Brewing, just a 10-minute walk away, grabbing a pint amid the after-work crowd. The place has a small gym and laundry facilities downstairs, which came in handy after a muddy hike around Mount Ainslie (pro tip: go early in the morning before the tourists swarm). Sure, the Wi-Fi dipped a couple of times – nothing major, but if you’re working remotely, pack a backup hotspot. And the decor? Sort of minimalist chic with comfy couches that actually sink in nicely, though the bathroom tiles were a tad chilly underfoot in the cooler months.

All in all, if you’re heading to Canberra for a few days – maybe to check out the National Gallery or just explore the lake paths around Burley Griffin – CityStyle’s a smart pick without breaking the bank. It’s got that 7.7 rating for a reason: reliable, clean, and super walkable to Civic without feeling too touristy. I’d go back, especially in autumn when the leaves turn and Braddon’s cafes are buzzing but not overwhelming. Just book a room away from the street if you’re a light sleeper, you know?   The unit was secure and handy to everywhere in the cbd.
  
  What could be improved: Maybe the owner could get a new vacuum cleaner. The one in the unit didn't work very well. The heating and security was great. I liked that I was close to Ci ic and Braddon.

  The apartment is in a great location, close to the city centre and was clean and comfortable.
  
  What could be improved: The check-in was very messy. We were on our way when we received a call to check we had the check in details, during the call it became apparent that the place we were staying was not the same as the one advertised. In the end this wasn't a problem; the apartment was closer to the city, however, it would have been less stressful if this had been made clear beforehand. The staff member then called back later to double-check we had the correct details.

  What could be improved: I couldn't initially access the instructions for getting into the apartment, which led to a little panic as I was boarding the plane. Luckily, this was resolved before I reached the building.

  We had a nice holiday, 2 adults + 2 children (8 and 6 years old), easy walking distance to shops and cafes… apartment clean, beds comfortable. Would stay there again.
