I arrived late on a weekday evening after driving in from Sydney, and finding parking wasn’t the nightmare I expected; there’s street spots nearby, though you might want to circle a block or two during peak hours, like around dinnertime when everyone’s hitting the Braddon cafes. Check-in was a breeze—it’s one of those self-service setups with a lockbox code they email you, so no awkward front desk chit-chat if you’re wiped out from the road. Stepping inside, the place just felt… welcoming, you know? Like someone’s actual home, not some sterile rental. The air had this faint, fresh linen scent, and the wooden floors creaked just enough to make it cozy without being annoying. It’s on the second floor (unit 219, if you’re booking), so you get a bit of elevation over the street—views of the treetops toward Civic, actually, which is nice for people-watching with your morning coffee.

What really sold me on this spot—and trust me, I’ve crashed in a few Canberra pads over the years—was how it nails that balance of central but chill. You’re literally a five-minute walk from the Canberra Centre for shopping or grabbing a bite at those trendy spots in Braddon, like Lonsdale Street with its killer coffee roasters and craft beer bars. The bathroom’s modern, with those rain shower heads that make you linger a bit too long—though, fair warning, the hot water takes a second to kick in if you’re the first one up. Sure, it might not have a pool or room service (you’ll have to fend for yourself on that front), but that’s part of the charm—feels more authentic, like you’re actually living in the city for a bit.   The apartment was clean and cosy and perfect for our quick trip to Canberra. The location was also perfect a quick walk across the road to major shopping centre and not far to walk for restaurants. We had everything we needed close by and also facilities of the apartment.
  The host also was great at communication and accommodating any needs or requests that we had, a pleasure to communicate with.
  
  What could be improved: The only issue I had was phone coverage while in the building. Thankfully the host provided free Wifi so that we could still make calls via WhatsApp and use the net on our phones. This is not the hosts fault and would not put us off staying here again.

  What could be improved: The most difficult part is finding the parking space, as the numbers do not seem to run in any order. The pictures and video helped, but are not accessible from within the carpark without 4G network. Also, my Optus mobile has no reception inside the room, needed to go out to the patio to get any reception.
