The living area flows naturally into a compact but well-equipped kitchen — and I actually tested it out making coffee and a quick breakfast, so I can vouch that everything works as it should. The bedroom feels separate enough that you’re not living on top of your suitcase, which is something you don’t always get with city apartments. Natural light streams in beautifully during the day, living up to that “Light & Lovely” promise in the name.

Location Perks

Here’s what I really appreciated — you can walk to pretty much everything worth seeing in central Canberra. The Parliamentary Triangle is right there, Lake Burley Griffin is a pleasant stroll away, and if you’re into the cultural stuff, the National Gallery and museums are all within easy reach. Couples seem to absolutely love this spot (they’ve rated the location 9.7, which honestly makes sense), probably because you can actually walk to dinner without needing to figure out transport or parking — well, except you don’t need to worry about that last bit anyway.

Practical Advantages

Speaking of parking, having your own dedicated car space in the CBD is actually a bigger deal than it might sound. I’ve stayed in plenty of city places where you’re circling blocks looking for a spot or paying through the nose for garage fees. Here, you just pull up and you’re done — it’s that simple. The whole setup feels more like having a temporary home base rather than just a place to crash, which makes a difference when you’re exploring a city like Canberra where having a car can really open up your options for day trips.

  once you worked out how to collect the property keys and got that sorted, it was all very easy and convenient. The bathroom and furniture and kitchen are all new so that was great. Nice to also have access to a balcony if you need to have some fresh air in the apartment
