Stepping inside, the place hit me with that fresh, modern vibe—think sleek laminate floors that don’t creak underfoot, and big windows letting in the afternoon light, though being on the ground floor, I did pull the blinds early to block out the occasional passerby on the sidewalk. It smelled faintly of eucalyptus from some diffuser they had going, which was a nice touch, reminding me of those crisp Canberra mornings.

I grabbed coffee at The Cupping Room in Civic, about 10 minutes on foot, and wandered over to the National Gallery—felt like I was living like a local, you know? The apartment’s got that open-plan feel with a cozy lounge area, fast Wi-Fi that didn’t drop once during my Zoom calls, and even a little patio out front where I sipped a beer watching the world go by. Oh, and the bathroom’s got decent water pressure in the shower—nothing spa-like, but it beats those dribbly ones you get in older spots around here.

  Drying rack in back yard should be moved as it would be very easy to walk into it when walking from garage to back door especially if it’s dark. Great to have one though.
