Look, I’ll be honest – when I first heard about Metropol – CBD pool Sleeps 7, I wasn’t sure what to expect. The name’s a bit of a mouthful, and without knowing the exact address or star rating, I went in with pretty neutral expectations. But you know what? Sometimes those are the places that surprise you the most.

What immediately caught my attention was how they’ve set this place up for bigger groups – I mean, sleeping seven people comfortably isn’t something every accommodation can pull off without feeling like you’re packed in like sardines. The layout actually works really well for families or friend groups who want to stay together but still have some breathing room. The CBD location means you’re right in the thick of things, which honestly saves you so much time and taxi money when you’re trying to hit multiple spots in a day. I found myself walking to most places instead of constantly calling rides, which was actually pretty refreshing.

The pool situation is what really sets this place apart though. Having a proper pool in a CBD location? That’s not something you stumble across every day. After spending hours walking around the business district – which can get pretty intense with all the concrete and hustle – there’s something almost surreal about coming back and just floating in the water. The pool area has this nice contrast to the urban energy just outside, if that makes sense. I spent way more evenings there than I initially planned, just decompressing with a drink while watching the city lights start to flicker on. The 8.5 rating makes total sense when you experience it firsthand – it’s not trying to be some luxury resort, but it delivers exactly what it promises and does it well. The space feels lived-in but well-maintained, and honestly, when you’re traveling with a group that size, having reliable basics like good water pressure, decent Wi-Fi, and enough fridge space becomes way more important than fancy marble countertops. I’d definitely consider staying here again, especially if I’m traveling with friends who want that perfect mix of city access and a place to actually relax together.

  Exceptional location. 2litres of fresh milk what a treat. And other goodies like breakfast cereals , honey , tea and coffee just made breakie so easy.

  Once we understood and read instructions properly we managed ok.

  Great location and good parking.
  Clean, quite spacious and good bathrooms.
  Good communication and easy check in and check out.
  
  What could be improved: Only one access fob for everyone which was needed for all access including car park.
  No keys for sliding doors to balcony which was a concern be as we had young children.
  Dishwasher not working and this was only communicated at check in.
  Third bedroom a windowless, tiny space with no separate aircon or fan. Not suitable for an adult which was not how it was advertised. Other two bedrooms were spacious, comfortable and nicely appointed.
  Pool not very clean and no chairs or umbrellas.

  The property was perfect for 4 of us. Great location . Clean apartment .
  
  What could be improved: There was 4 of us staying in the 3 bedroom apartment which sleeps 7 . There was no lines supplied for the sofa .
