I’ll be honest, when I first booked Nice in New Acton – 2bd 2bth Apt, I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect from the name alone. But you know what? Sometimes the best finds are the ones that don’t oversell themselves upfront.

This two-bedroom setup in *New Acton* turned out to be exactly what I needed – and I mean that in the best possible way. The space actually feels like someone’s well-maintained home rather than a sterile hotel room, which is refreshing when you’re staying somewhere for more than a night or two. Both bathrooms are properly functional (I know that sounds basic, but you’d be surprised how many places get this wrong), and there’s enough room to spread out without feeling like you’re living on top of each other. The kitchen situation is solid too – I actually cooked a few meals there instead of eating out every night, which honestly saved me a decent chunk of money.

What really won me over was how the place sits in New Acton itself. It’s one of those neighborhoods that feels lived-in rather than touristy, if that makes sense. You’ll find yourself walking to grab coffee or groceries alongside people who actually live there, which gives you a much better feel for the city than staying in some glossy hotel district. The local cafés don’t have that “we know you’re just passing through” vibe – they actually remember your order after a day or two. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle during peak hours (aren’t they all?), but it’s manageable if you’re not expecting to pull right up to the front door every time. The 8.4 rating makes perfect sense to me – it’s the kind of place that does the important things really well without trying to be flashy about it. I mean, the WiFi worked flawlessly, the beds were actually comfortable, and everything was clean without smelling like industrial cleaning products. Sometimes that’s exactly what you want from a place to stay.

  Plenty of space, amazing views, sunny balcony, private parking spaces, nice bathrooms, equipped kitchen and laundry.
  
  What could be improved: Key fob needed 2 people for garage door as buttons do not work. Floor rug badly rucked up and a trip hazard. Windows smeary on inside with handprints. Dishwasher needed attention. Large bed in small room and small beds in large room with ensuite made no sense

  The location was great, as were the views, the layout of the apartment, the facilities and the shower – first class water pressure! 🙂
  
  What could be improved: Key pickup at another location was awkward – there must be a better system than this. Also, the bed in the master bedroom needs a new mattress (the current one sags substantially), and there is no place for 100% polyester sheets in any accommodation aiming to offer a five star experience.

  Great location and facilities. Gym included was wonderful. The unit was lovely, clean and very spacious. Secure parking included was excellent. Great location when attending Floriade because it was walking distance from the event.
  
  What could be improved: The key had to be collected at a separate location. If we weren’t travelling by car, this would have been inconvenient.

  The location was central, and the apartment was modern, with good views and facilities. The beds were comfortable.
  
  What could be improved: You didn't tell us that we had to pick the keys from a doggie place few kilometres away from the apartment. We have been told about picking the keys after we arrived, very unprofessional. There was also a $500 bond that there is no mention about when we booked. We couldn't leave our bags to allow for our afternoon flight etc.. Be more clear and inform customers about what to expect in advance.
  And minor issue, there were only 3 cubs for coffee in an apartment that we booked and paid for four persons.
