I’ll be honest – when I first heard about Serene 2BR Apt in the Radiant City of Civic – Hosted by Canstay, I wasn’t sure what to expect from the name alone. But after staying there, I get why it’s called “serene.” This place really does have this calm, almost zen-like quality that hits you the moment you walk in.

The apartment itself is surprisingly spacious for what you’d expect in this area. I mean, two proper bedrooms with actual breathing room between them – not those cramped spaces where you can hear everything through paper-thin walls. The hosts from Canstay have clearly put thought into the setup. The kitchen actually has everything you need (and I’m someone who gets annoyed when there’s no decent knife for cutting vegetables), and the living area has this comfortable, lived-in feel without being cluttered. You know what I really appreciated? The windows. They’re positioned just right so you get natural light throughout the day, but you’re not dealing with that harsh afternoon glare that makes you want to hide under a blanket.

What struck me most was how quiet it stays, even during busier times of day. The neighborhood has this residential vibe that feels genuinely local – you’ll see people walking their dogs, families heading out for errands, that sort of authentic daily life stuff that makes a place feel real rather than touristy. The Canstay team was actually pretty responsive too. I had a small question about the WiFi setup (nothing major, just me being technologically challenged), and they sorted it out quickly without making me feel like an idiot. Parking wasn’t a nightmare either, which honestly surprised me given how tricky it can be in some parts of the city. There’s usually street parking available if you’re willing to walk a block or two, and the area feels safe enough that I wasn’t worried about leaving the car overnight. The 9.3 rating makes total sense once you’ve been there – it’s one of those places where all the small details just work together to create something genuinely comfortable rather than flashy.

  The apartment was spotlessly clean. It was convenient for nearby restaurants and shops. We didn’t cook there but the kitchen looked well equipped. There was tea, coffee, milk and biscuits. Apartment seemed secure as you needed a fob to access the upstairs floors of the building in the lift. Good, clear instructions from staff about how to access the property on arrival.
  
  What could be improved: It would have been good to have 2 key fobs. When one of us went out for a walk, another had to go downstairs to let them in as you can’t access the apartment floor in the lift without a fob – good for security but a slight inconvenience.

  Great location. Nice and clean. Comfortable beds, good facilities and well-equipped. Nice and light and spacious.
  
  What could be improved: The key-box was tough to get into. Had to get a credit card to pry open the door. The parking space is good but very tight. A second fob key would be good.

  The location was excellent. Able to walk to shops, Restaurants etc. Not necessary to have a car. Unit was spotlessly clean with everything you need included.

  The first thing that was wrong was the directions on how the fine the place. It had 2 different addresses on the information page and I had to call 2-3 times after being sent to the wrong place.
  
  What could be improved: The bed in the main room was broken on one side and the other mattress was as hard as concrete.

  Location was perfect, easy access and walking distance to everything you need.
