It’s actually way more charming than the name suggests – I mean, when you hear “golf course,” you might picture some stuffy country club vibe, but this place has this really relaxed, homey feel that surprised me in the best way.

The location is honestly perfect if you’re looking for that sweet spot between peaceful and accessible. I loved waking up to the sound of… well, not much actually, which was exactly what I needed. The golf course views are genuinely beautiful – all those rolling greens stretching out, especially in the early morning when there’s still mist hanging around. Even if you’re not into golf (I’m definitely not), there’s something really soothing about looking out at all that open space. The whole setup feels more like staying at a friend’s really nice house than a typical hotel, and with that 9.1 rating, I can see why other guests feel the same way.

What really sold me on this place was all the little thoughtful touches – the kind of stuff you notice when someone actually cares about your experience rather than just checking boxes. The common areas have this lived-in comfort that makes you want to curl up with a book, and honestly, the kitchen situation is fantastic if you’re planning to stay more than a night or two. I ended up cooking breakfast a couple mornings because everything was so well-stocked and functional. The whole place just feels… I don’t know, authentic? Like it wasn’t designed by a committee trying to appeal to everyone. Parking was straightforward too, which might sound boring but you know how stressful that can be when you’re trying to figure out a new place. The check-in process was refreshingly personal – felt more like being welcomed into someone’s home than the usual hotel routine. If you’re someone who appreciates staying somewhere that feels genuine rather than polished to death, this spot really delivers on that front.

  This is one of the loveliest units we stay in. Its very clean, beds are so comfy and the linen is so fresh & clean. Bathroom towels are good quality. The unit warms up very quickly in winter. Couch is comfortable, Tv is great. Plenty of supply of personal needs in bathroom, although the bath tub has been removed which is a shame as it would just finish the bathroom off beautifully. Kitchen has good supply for short stay. Parking is outside but in private driveway, no garage or carport available. You feel at home in this place. Love the slate flooring. Very easy entry to the property, don't have to worry about id photos or licenses being taken, that's a bonus when travelling. Absolutely wonderful area to stay in, The neighborhood is quiet & has great walking paths around a lake with golf course close by. Plenty of bird-life. This was our second visit & we plan to keep this unit as our number one place to stay when in Canberra. Thankyou to our host, you are exceptionally good at what you do. We'll be returning.
  
  What could be improved: The only thought is that there's a single bed set up in the lounge room which spoils the look of the room, maybe a fold up bed in storage would work better when needed.
  Lots of travelers enjoy a restful hot bath, it would be nice to see a bath tub replaced in the bathroom.
  It was very cold when we stayed and a couple of warmer blankets for the beds would have been appreciated.
