The design feels fresh and modern without trying too hard, and you know what? The staff genuinely seemed happy to see guests, which is rarer than it should be at four-star properties.

I mean, you’re literally steps from your departure gate, but here’s the thing — it doesn’t feel like you’re camping out in a terminal. The parking situation is seamless (no hunting for spots or dealing with shuttle buses), and if you’re exploring the capital, you’re surprisingly well-positioned. The airport location means easy access to the city center, and couples seem to get this — they consistently rate the spot highly for romantic getaways.

The Room Experience

My room was one of those pleasant surprises that makes you actually look forward to coming back after a day out. The space felt thoughtfully designed rather than just functional — good lighting, comfortable seating that isn’t just the bed, and windows that actually open (small thing, but it matters). The bathroom was properly modern with decent water pressure, and the bed? Well, let’s just say I’ve slept worse in much more expensive places. Everything worked as it should, which sounds basic but you’d be amazed how often hotels mess up the fundamentals.

Breakfast and Dining

The breakfast setup here is where Vibe really shows its colors — they’ve got both continental and buffet options, which means whether you’re rushing to catch a flight or settling in for a leisurely morning, you’re covered. I actually found myself lingering over coffee longer than planned, watching other travelers come and go. The restaurant area has this relaxed vibe that makes you forget you’re at an airport hotel. The food quality was solid — not trying to be fancy, just doing the classics well.

  3rd stay at Vibe Canberra. A comfy, cosy room – spacious. Quiet. Excellent breakfast – healthy options, and great coffee from the machine. Bathroom toiletries are lovely. The work station/desk in lobby was excellent and I utilised it for 2 hours whilst I was waiting. Checkout at 11am is generous.
  
  What could be improved: Water out of standard shower head was weak and splattered all over the place (room 405), ended up having to use the waterfall shower which I don't prefer to use. All good though as the included toiletries were worth it.
