City Comfy Apartment Overview
First Impressions
Walking into City Comfy Apartment, you immediately get the sense that someone actually thought about what travelers need. It’s not trying to be fancy — honestly, the name tells you everything — but there’s something refreshing about a place that delivers exactly what it promises. The building on Bunda Street has that modern Canberra feel, and you know what? The elevator works smoothly and the hallways are well-lit, which sounds basic but you’d be surprised how many places get this wrong.
Location & Neighborhood
Here’s the thing about this spot — couples absolutely love it, and I can see why they’re rating the location 9.8. You’re right in the heart of Canberra’s city center, which means you can actually walk to most places instead of dealing with parking headaches (though they do have free private parking if you need it). The Australian War Memorial is a pleasant stroll away, and you’re close enough to Lake Burley Griffin that morning walks become part of your routine. I mean, being on Bunda Street puts you within easy reach of the shopping centers and restaurants, but you’re not dealing with constant noise either.
The Apartment Experience
What sets City Comfy Apartment apart is that it actually feels like living somewhere rather than just staying overnight. The space is thoughtfully laid out — you get a proper kitchen where you can make coffee the way you like it, not just instant packets. The living area gives you room to spread out, which is perfect when you’ve been walking around Canberra all day and need to decompress. The Wi-Fi works reliably (tested it for video calls), and there are enough power outlets that you’re not playing musical chairs with your devices.
Practical Comforts
The apartment comes with those little touches that show someone understands what guests actually need. The kitchen has real plates and proper utensils, not flimsy plastic stuff. There’s a washing machine, which is honestly a game-changer if you’re staying more than a couple nights or if you’ve been hiking around the Australian Capital Territory. The bathroom has good water pressure — I know it sounds trivial, but after a long day exploring Parliament House or the National Gallery, a decent shower makes all the difference.
Why Guests Love It
People keep coming back to City Comfy Apartment because it strikes that sweet spot between independence and comfort. You get the freedom of having your own space without sacrificing the essentials that make a stay pleasant. The location means you can walk to dinner instead of driving, but when you want to explore further out, that free parking becomes incredibly valuable in a city where parking fees add up quickly. It’s the kind of place where you settle in on the first night and think, “Yeah, this works” — and honestly, sometimes that’s exactly what you need.
To book hotel in Canberra during the famous Floriade spring festival, visitors should make reservations well in advance as the capital attracts nature lovers and political enthusiasts from around the world.

What could be improved: Beds quite hard and furniture doesn't suit the modern apartmentGreat location, needs some love and TLC – Michael from Australia – 21 May 2025 (8/10)
The location was great, and the owners were lovely and helpful.
The apartment presented clean, other than smell (see below).
The blankets were great.
Heating was perfect.
Access to the gym and pool was a great option, but I didn't get to use it, though, due to the short length of our stay.
Having a piano in the room was so awesome, and it was in tune. It needs some love, but it was fun to play for a bit.
What could be improved: The shower had black mould growing everywhere in it, a simple mould killer would fix this issue.
The apartment smelled of stale cigarettes upon first entry, this disappeared after opening all the balcony access for a few hours.
The bed mattress was absolutely horrible, not as bad as Adina apartments, but I wouldn't want more than one night on it.Excellent host and informative. – Michael from Australia – 27 April 2025 (9/10)
