Dana-Central Apartment with Mount Ainslie Views Overview
I’ll be honest – when I first heard about Dana-Central Apartment with Mount Ainslie Views, I wasn’t sure what to expect from a rental property, but the location in Canberra had me curious. You know what really sold me though? Those Mount Ainslie views aren’t just marketing fluff. From the living room windows, you get this sweeping panorama that changes throughout the day – morning light hitting the slopes, then that golden hour glow in the evening that makes you want to grab a coffee and just sit there for a while.
The apartment itself sits in what locals call the central area, which actually means you’re within reasonable distance of most things without being right in the thick of tourist chaos. I mean, Canberra’s not exactly overwhelming anyway, but there’s something nice about having that buffer. The space feels lived-in rather than sterile – you’ll find little touches that suggest someone actually cares about this place beyond just booking turnover. The kitchen‘s properly equipped (I’m talking real knives and decent cookware, not the usual rental apartment basics), and honestly, the beds are comfortable enough that I didn’t wake up with that typical “slept on a hotel mattress” stiffness.
What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night, especially considering you’re still close to the action. Mount Ainslie itself is right there if you’re into morning hikes or evening walks – the trail up isn’t too challenging, and the payoff views over the city are worth the effort. Parking was straightforward, which anyone who’s dealt with inner-city accommodation will appreciate. The check-in process was refreshingly simple too, none of that awkward key-juggling or complicated entry codes. Sure, it’s not fancy in that polished hotel way, but there’s something authentic about staying somewhere that feels more like borrowing a friend’s place than occupying a room that’s been sanitized of all personality. If you’re the type who values character over generic luxury – and especially if you want to wake up to those mountain views without paying resort prices – this spot delivers on what it promises.

What could be improved: The house has some problems. The Kitchen exhaust was not working. The Shower is in a Spa which is too high to climb in. Ideally a 2 steps needed.Pleasant stay in a good location – Philippa from Australia – 6 June 2025 (6/10)

The security of the building. CBD location. The value for money. Having a washing machine, dishwasher even though we didn't use it. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, cutlery and crockery.
What could be improved: The spa bath/shower was very hard to get in and out of. Some hand towels would of been appreciated. The laundry and bathroom could use a deep clean.Comfortable and centrally located appartment. – Jennifer from Australia – 5 September 2024 (8/10)

Excellent location with comfy accommodation – Daria from Australia – 11 March 2024 (8/10)
Excellent location and getting access to the keys was effortless. Apartment had a great floor plan and the extras like shampoo, conditioner, bodywash, laundry detergent, coffee and tea all greatly appreciated and a lovely touch.
What could be improved: Nothing we could comment on. Only very minor thing would be the lock box containing key was a little tricky to lock again. Nothing else though.Great! – Bek from Australia – 30 September 2022 (8/10)
Facilities were great, everything we could ask for, great location too.
