Dana-Cozy Studio with Shared Entry in the City Overview
Look, I’ll be honest with you – Dana-Cozy Studio with Shared Entry in the City is one of those places that surprised me in the best way possible. When I first heard “shared entry,” I was a little skeptical (aren’t we all?), but it actually works out perfectly fine. You’re basically getting your own little studio space while just sharing the main entrance with maybe one or two other units, which honestly felt more like staying at a friend’s place than some impersonal hotel setup.
The studio itself is genuinely cozy – and I mean that in the good way, not the “we’re calling it cozy because it’s tiny” way. Dana clearly put thought into making the space feel homey without cramming too much stuff in there. The bed was comfortable enough that I actually slept better than I do at home (which says something, considering I’m usually a terrible sleeper in new places), and there’s this nice little kitchenette area where you can make coffee in the morning or heat up leftovers if you’re like me and always end up with way too much food from dinner. The whole place has this lived-in feel that I really appreciated – you know, actual books on the shelf, decent lighting, none of that sterile hotel vibe that makes you feel like you’re in a waiting room.
What really sold me on this place though was how quiet it gets at night, despite being right in the city. I mean, you’ll hear the occasional car or people walking by, but it’s not that constant urban buzz that keeps you up all night. During the day it’s perfectly positioned for getting around – I found myself walking to most places I wanted to go, which was great because parking in the city can be such a headache anyway. The check-in process was refreshingly straightforward too; Dana met me right on time and showed me around, pointing out little things like which light switches control what (always appreciated) and where to find extra towels. The whole interaction felt genuine, like she actually cared about making sure I was comfortable rather than just going through the motions. With a 7.8 rating, it’s clearly hitting the mark for most people, and honestly, I can see why – sometimes the best places are the ones that feel real rather than polished to perfection.

Reviews of Dana-Cozy Studio with Shared Entry in the City
Convenient place to stay. – Wendy from Australia – 21 June 2025 (8/10)
Very convenient to public bus and the theatre.
What could be improved: Noise from neighbours who moved in next door to unit 2 on Friday evening. Noise from the huge earthworks next door was unbelievable until 4.30pm each day from 7.00am. Fortunately I was out most of the day. The very bright lights from outside kept me awake during the night as the one blind cannot be lowered completely.
The night light next to the bed did not work.
No TV! I know it was not listed, but really it is an essential.VERY good value in the heart of the city. – Anthony from Australia – 24 May 2025 (8/10)
Close to the heart of things. Clean. Parking easy
What could be improved: Being disturbed before check out timeVery good – Anthony from Australia – 16 May 2025 (8/10)
Fantastic location, comfortable.
What could be improved: Most of the time, it doesn't matter if you don't know how to use the tag to access the lifts, but there can be a problem out of hours.Great central location – Horton from Australia – 14 May 2025 (9/10)
Great location and all the facilities were perfect.
Dana Cozy-studio does a great job of the essentials for an economical stay, and the host is lovely. – Tiffanie from Australia – 9 April 2025 (8/10)
the location is great and parking very handy. It has a well appointed kitchen, comfortable bed and manages to fit a little table and chairs in as well as a desk which is great.
What could be improved: I would have really liked to have had a television even with just free-to-air channels. I didn't like to have to pay an extra $20 for parking – I think it's essential to include parking in that location, and it pushed the total cost above other options that I would have chosen had I realised it before I booked. I understand the limitations of the listing website, but it should have been made clearer in the ad. the decor is fine but basic. A few pictures or plants or something would be nice.Very good – Florian from France – 1 April 2025 (8/10)
Very comfortable bed!
What could be improved: Nothing specialGood value for money – Brett from Australia – 26 February 2025 (9/10)
Close to Canberra CBD
What could be improved: Bed was a little hardLove the ease of walking around to shops and services; truly a great stay for visiting the city! – Doreen from Australia – 8 December 2024 (8/10)
Location, just within affordability and host's help with getting me a parking space.
What could be improved: Nothing I feel the need to specify – that is, nothing of issue. My stay was fantastic, there was a few things that were disappointing but overall everything was perfect. – Bella from Australia – 28 October 2024 (7/10)
I liked it because it was close to everything.
What could be improved: I didn’t like how there’s no tv or internet in the room.Great location, not free parking – Apperley from Australia – 17 September 2024 (7/10)
Location central to Canberra CBD and has a full kitchen to use if needed. Really easy to get out and about. Amazing instructions to get to apartment. Would stay again.
What could be improved: In title states that there is free parking, communicated this with owner, given instructions for parking but someone else parked in spot and response was to email them and pay $20 or find parking elsewhere. Picked due to location with inclusion of parking.
