1Br Braddon retreat with mountain views Overview
First Impressions
Walking into the 1Br Braddon retreat with mountain views, you immediately understand why couples rate this place so highly. The apartment sits on the fourth floor of a modern building on Elouera Street, and honestly, the views hit you right away — those mountain vistas stretching across Canberra‘s skyline are pretty spectacular. It’s not a traditional hotel setup, which actually works in its favor. You get that whole apartment-to-yourself feeling while still being in one of Canberra’s most happening neighborhoods.
The Space and Views
The one-bedroom layout is thoughtfully designed, with large windows that frame those mountain views I mentioned. You know what really impressed me? The way the living area flows naturally into the bedroom space, creating this sense of openness that you don’t always get in city accommodations. The kitchen is fully equipped — I mean, you could actually cook a proper meal here if you wanted to skip the restaurants for a night. The mountain backdrop changes throughout the day too, which sounds cheesy but it’s genuinely nice to watch from the comfort of the sofa.
Braddon Neighborhood
Here’s where the location really shines — Braddon is basically Canberra’s creative quarter, and you’re right in the thick of it. Walk five minutes in any direction and you’ll hit cafes, galleries, and some of the city’s best restaurants. The Canberra Centre is close enough for shopping, but you’re far enough away to avoid the tourist crowds. I particularly love how you can stroll to Haig Park for morning walks, or head toward the city center when you want more action. It’s that sweet spot where locals actually live and work.
Practical Comforts
The apartment comes with all those little things that make a difference when you’re staying somewhere for more than just a night or two. Good wifi, proper heating (trust me, Canberra gets cold), and a washing machine that actually works well. The bed is comfortable — not hotel-stiff, more like what you’d want at home. There’s decent storage space, which matters if you’re unpacking for a longer stay. The bathroom has a proper shower with good water pressure, something you don’t always get in apartment-style accommodations.
Why Guests Love It
That 9.3 rating makes sense once you’ve stayed here. Couples especially seem to appreciate the privacy and those romantic mountain views, but honestly, it works for anyone who wants more space than a typical hotel room offers. The Braddon location puts you close to everything without feeling touristy, and the apartment setup means you can actually relax rather than just crash between sightseeing sessions. It’s the kind of place where you might find yourself staying in for breakfast just to enjoy the view a bit longer — and in a city like Canberra, having that peaceful retreat to come back to makes all the difference.
Apartments in Canberra suit remote teams with secure lifts, dual-desk layouts, and espresso bars downstairs.

Reviews of 1Br Braddon retreat with mountain views
Comfortable and convenient, no matter the season! – Frances from Australia – 25 June 2025 (10/10)
This is excellent accommodation that places you within easy access to the dining precinct, shopping mall and the tram. The heated pool is a great bonus, especially in winter! Access to the in-house restaurant is beneficial if you don't want to go far for a coffee, breakfast or dinner. Underground parking is easily accessed and beneficial in inclement weather. The apartment is so well stocked with everything you need for a very comfortable stay. Communication from the owner was outstanding, and detailed the access process in clear detail. Highly recommended accommodation.
What could be improved: Nothing at all.Great place, super comfortable, beautiful view of black mountain. – Monique from Australia – 23 June 2025 (10/10)

MaryGood location. Great host and close to public transport. – Kathleen from Australia – 19 May 2025 (10/10)
Spacious – had all amenities I needed and best of all close to light rail to get to the festival I was going to.
Communication with owner was easy and they responded quickly when I had a question.
What could be improved: Can’t think of anything.Convenient spot for a short break. – Diane from Australia – 15 March 2025 (9/10)
Location. Quiet. Great instructions.
What could be improved: Slight unpleasant smell (?vomit) in kitchen / dining area. Carpark numbers make no sense.Superb – Katie from Australia – 22 January 2025 (9/10)
Such a great spot, really close to lots of great restaurants, 2 min to the tram and an easy 15 min walk to the Dendy and supermarket in Canberra Central. The apartment had everything we needed including books and puzzles. The view was really lovely. We would stay here again if we revisited Canberra.
What could be improved: It was tricky to find the pool, gym, and sauna on Level 1 because they weren't signposted in the building. Definitely read the instruction booklet before you arrive as it has a map and instructions for the carpark.Fabulous🫶🏽 – Serena from Australia – 30 December 2024 (10/10)
Loved watching the sunset from the balcony each night and it’s close to all the vegan food I love to eat😁
What could be improved: N/AWould stay again – Robyn from Australia – 11 December 2024 (10/10)
This is a modern, clean and well equipped small apartment in an excellent location. The owner was welcoming, and very responsive to my query.
What could be improved: The access to parking is through two gates, the driveways were very tight, and larger vehicles could find it a bit challenging. I missed the information about the parking, although it was there in the online download provided. It is necessary to read through everything thoroughly as access and parking is easy but quite specific.Superb – William from Australia – 7 December 2024 (9/10)
Close to everything
Very good – Geoff from Australia – 20 November 2024 (8/10)
