I’ll be honest, when I first saw the name Midnight Luxe 2BR 2Bath Apartment 408 in the heart of Braddon Pool Sauna L4 Views Secure Parking Wine WiFi, I thought someone had just thrown every selling point into the title – but you know what? They actually delivered on pretty much all of it. This place sits right in the thick of Braddon, and I mean properly in the heart of it, where you can practically roll out of bed and stumble into some of the best coffee spots in Canberra.

The apartment itself is on the fourth level, which honestly gives you these surprisingly decent views across the neighborhood – nothing spectacular, but you can see enough of the city to feel connected without all the street noise that comes with ground floor places. The two bedrooms are actually generous sized, not those cramped boxes you sometimes get in newer developments, and having two full bathrooms is a game changer when you’re traveling with friends or family. I mean, no one wants to queue for the shower in the morning, right? The kitchen‘s well-equipped too – they’ve got proper wine glasses (not just those plastic hotel cups), and there’s actually good coffee gear if you’re the type who can’t function without a decent brew.

What really sets this place apart though is the building’s facilities. The pool area is surprisingly well-maintained and never seemed too crowded when I was there, even during what I’d consider peak times. The sauna‘s a nice touch – honestly didn’t expect it to be as good as it was, proper hot and spacious enough that you don’t feel like you’re in a closet. Parking in Braddon can be an absolute nightmare, especially around Lonsdale Street when things get busy, so having that secure spot included is actually worth its weight in gold. You’re walking distance from Haig Park, which is lovely for morning runs, and you’re close enough to the city center that you don’t need to think twice about heading in for dinner or whatever. The WiFi worked perfectly fine for video calls and streaming, which sadly isn’t always a given in apartment rentals. My only minor gripe would be that the building can get a bit echoey in the corridors – not enough to ruin your sleep, but you’ll definitely know when your neighbors are coming and going. Still, for the location and what you get, it’s pretty solid value.

    The location was perfect. The apartment was very comfortable and extremely well stocked with utensils and some dining essentials. It was very clean and the beds were comfortable.

    What could be improved: The carpark. We were in a large vehicle and it was very challenging navigating down and up the ramps. Stupid design to be honest. Also car parks themselves aren’t sequentially numbered for some very strange reason. The guidance from the apartment management team (Tracy), was very clear and accurate thankfully.

    Great location. Many restaurants/pubs/bars a short walk from the accommodation. Comfortable for two couples. Secure, undercover car parking. Great communication with host. Clear instructions for arrival and departure.
